At/on/in with time

Look at the examples

He arrived at 7 o'clock.

She was absent on Friday.

I was born in August.

At is used for the time of the day,for example;

At 9 0'clock,at 4 am,at midnight

At with these expressions:night,Christmas,Dashain(with festivals),the weekend,the moment,the age of

On is used for days and dates:on Sunday,on 12th July,on my birthday

In for longer periods:in July,in 2022,in the morning,in summer

Use "in" with parts of the day (not specific times), months, years, and seasons.



No preposition before last/next/this/every

In the morning,but on Sunday morning

At the moment but in a moment

On time:at the /exact/specified time/not late(The bell rings at 10 o'clock.(He arrived at 10)He was on time.

In time: early enough/before the exact/planned time(the school bell rings at 10 o'clock)we reach school before 10)we reach school in time.

At the end:  of something(at the end of the month)when sth.ends.

In the end:finally(to talk about the final result of sth.)

I had a lot of problems with my car.-----I sold it.
